The attachment is designed for Apple devices. Down at the bottom of the article they mention that it is open to Android developers. Physical attachment of the device needs to be developed for Android or other operating systems.

Looking for accuracy spec. Preobably there but can't find it.

Presumedly, highly accurate within the range of view. Accuracy does not equal precision. It's just very close.

looks great for small volumes....probably not so good for large volumes (eg a building with an atrium)

OK this is getting somewhere. I've been looking at fairly good iPad apps for gathering existing building data but never found anything that was as dependable as laser range finder and paper pad. Always feels like fussing around for less than dependable data. Something like this may make a difference.
