Aston Martin DB5 1963
-
Another car from me, an Aston Martin DB5 1963. Sketchup & maxwell as usual. I tried to create a backplate and sharpen it from the hdri following Olishea's advice. C&C welcome as always.

Very efficient!
And thx for the link of the free objects of the data base! -
Not sure this is the proper color for an Aston Martin, is white isn't it ?
They are usually silver.Pretty nice though !
-
Yes silver is the popular colour, it came in a light blue which i adjusted. I expect it's too light should be more this colour:
Thanks for the comment.

really nice Simon!
the only thing telling me that it's a rendering is that little white shine around the tires...i don't know what is causing them.i just rendered a nice aston martin rapide model and if you don't mind i would like to show it to you here? i don't want to flood the gallery with all the car threads
-
Go ahead Carloh, i bet it's metallic green !
-
hmm indeed it is...i forgot you are in the CG record group too
nevertheless here it is
-
More light ?
-
i liked the dark atmosphere of the industrial warehouse HDRI so i kept it quite dark...maybe a question of personal taste. but thanks for your suggestion ely!
-
I have used that hdri in some of my renders too. What is a bit bothering is that,as you can see, there is a hard light reflected on the left side of the hood, and I think that with that much light reflected there is almost impossible that the car remains so dark.
I also thought you like it this way, perhaps a better resolution render would have made it justice with this setup.
Cheers ! -
It looks good Carloh, matching the scale & dof of the floor to the background is the only problem i see. PS i'm also working on a Green Vantage from another source watch this space !

Chedda, that's awesome mate, just needs a few bullet holes!
