Personal Design Project: Ply Easy Chair

I have a very unique chair coming to it's life's end (Left in photo). So I envisaged in a sketch something I'd want to see as an replacement. So I set about progressing the vision to a model (very rough crappy one at this stage).

The current model is so low in geometry that I was limited to how much I could play with curves, but I'll get around shortly to remodel it up properly.

Inspirations: Eames Bent Ply Easy Chair AND the Random in the Left of Pic Attached.

The thing found with the left chair is the upward curves evoke a more attentive feel in the sitter so trying to maintain that, just not quite sure in the level of backward lean at this moment.

Left chair dying (BTW does anyone know what it is) - I't not an egg!

BRILLIANT..........not much more I can add. Love seeing peoples design sketches. Excellent design and excellent render.

Exaggeration makes a dull story better.

Cool! Looks like it's walking away or a dog wanting to play. I guess you might want to prototype and test the sitting experience beforehand.
