E-juices: all day vapes: GoodLife "Nana's Nuts" and GoodLife "Melon Boba".
Those Good Life flavours are brilliant....thank you for putting me on to them
My favourites from them are '925', 'El Kamino' and 'Deadly Sin'

I broke my Semovar mod last week. I finally had enough!
It kept throwing out error codes, screen stopped working, would only use half a battery before saying battery was low...etc etc....so I unscrewed everything for a deep clean and one of the connections popped into the circuit board tube and I couldn't get it back out. I tried retrieving the connection with a screwdriver which eventually turned into a frustration-relieving stabbing technique! I then finished it off with a hammer. Totally smashed the whole thing to bits.
So now I'm back on my original Provari and it feels great! Great build quality; makes me wonder why I even changed in the first place. So reliable.
I have started making lower resistance coils so I can get away with using smaller battery mods; the 18350 battery is just fine. Happy Vaping everyone!

Like I said many times, no need to get into all those fancy mods, my trusted Provari will never die, still working as good as the day I bought it
-
Over the past few months a 'rattle' in my Provari has slowly worsened and sometimes it would only fire up if I held the unit at certain angles.
A few days ago it stopped working after I dropped it.
I have four 18650 batteries, two different manufacturers.
- I recharged them all...Provari didn't work
- I cleaned all the contact points....it still didn't work
I was beginning to think I had caused some serious damage after dropping it.
Then I noticed that the two different battery types were very slightly different heights.
What had happened is that the slightly larger battery had compressed the spring contact on the bottom extension cap.....this was the cause of the 'rattle' when the shorter of the batteries was used.
When I dropped the unit, it landed on it's base and the force of the impact had compressed the spring just that little bit more and therefore contact couldn't being made at each end of the battery regardless of which battery type I used.
It took me a whole day to realise what the problem was.....and was easily resolved when I pulled the spring up a tiny fraction.
It's working perfectly now, and as good as the day I first used it....!!
-
Good stuff! Yeah the "nipple" at the top of some batteries varies. I had the same issue with my Semovar which has a fixed but adjustable base cap....no spring. I would have to adjust the base cap based on the battery I was using which was soooooooo annoying.
Glad you fixed it. I'm back on the Provari and loving it. The semovar used to drink batteries; I have no idea why but I'm getting great battery life from the Provari even with the tiny batteries. I don't know why I even changed to be honest.

This test is not recent news. They overheated the e-liquid.

"At low voltage (3.3 V), we did not detect the formation of any formaldehyde-releasing agents (estimated limit of detection, approximately 0.1 ΞΌg per 10 puffs). At high voltage (5.0 V), a mean (Β±SE) of 380Β±90 ΞΌg per sample (10 puffs) of formaldehyde was detected as formaldehyde-releasing agents"
-
My point is; who vapes at high voltages?
The e-liquid would taste burnt. Burnt=Bad. It's like burning a piece of toast......it makes it carcinogenic.
The very word "vaping" implies no burning.

Kayfun 4 just been released. Not keen on the shape if I'm honest but it has many new features.
-
You better skip this one, Oli. Let me point some of the "features"
- it's heavy
- too many parts, most of them involved in Kong-fu movement
-insatiable liquid evaporator ( I doubled the quantity of liquid per day)
-pointless liquid control( good for refill only, you close the liquid, fill it, open liquid)
-fiddling air control
-better flavour
-more vapour ( if the air is all the way open, but it's like you vape a pipe with 20 mm diameter)
-expensive
The first impression is positive, but I think is placebo. You think it's better, but if you return after couple of days to the kay lite plus, you have a revelation. Kayfun lite plus, gives you overall,a better vaping experience.
Note that I do not have the original. Guys who bought the original, said it's not worth the money.
-
Great info cheers. I was going to dismiss it based on the looks! And yes it does appear to be overly complicated. Bit tacky now.
I think ill be getting a mini Kayfun in near future. I tried all the mini kangertech stuff and the taste is nowhere near as good as a Kayfun. My Kayfun lite plus is still going strong.

I just got back home from a meeting with some fellows from my town. It's the second one this year, and for the first time, I was there. We had some e-liquids for testing, 70 flavours, to be more precise, and it was great. Can't wait for the next one!
Cheers!

That's cool Stefan! I was gonna visit Vapefest in the UK but it was too far away.
So did you just direct drip into your Kayfun to test the flavours? I heard you can just unscrew the chimney and put a couple of drops in?
Did you discover any nice new flavours?
Looks like nearly everyone there is using a rebuildable!
I wish there was a Kayfun where you could actually buy the coils though....it's one thing I really hate doing. It doesn't even take long it just annoys me!
Currently vaping my own mix of Blackcurrant and Strawberry. Makes a change from the Blackcurrant and Grape I normally make. I have to mix flavours up occasionally as my tastebuds get used to them.
I've been using Inawera flavour concentrates for the past few months, they're really quite nice!
-
Cheers Oli! Yeah, you can use kayfun with just the chimney, but we had dripping atomizers (most of us) for testing all those flavours. I gave up, after changing the wicks for like five times. Everyone had their favourite flavour, but it was so hard to feel anything after 10 different flavours. I was hunting for the perfect tobacco flavor, but again, nothing came close to the one I'm using for a year now. It's called Ace N1 from ecig.eu. Actually, I found ecig flavours to be the best for me. By the way, "ecig" is a brand from Greece, not the abbreviation from the "electronic cigarette". I tried brands like Twisted, John Smith`s Tabacco, FlavourArt, Perfumers Apprentice. I'm yet to try Inawera. It's so hard to recommend a flavour, because choosing the right flavour is so subjective for each individual. We had like two "Bambies" with us, and it was so refreshing to see their interest in everything they touched and tasted.
If I have to recommend you something, I would say go for Twisted, knowing what you like to vape. They are from Germany, and the quality is high. But I know the finest e-liquid is produced in UK, so I think you're ok
I also noticed, almost everybody's interest over box mods. I can't tell why, but I hate them. Maybe because that shape it reminds me about a pack of cigarettes. Ooh, and almost all of us, we had Japanese cotton with micro-coil in our setup. Changing the wicks is super easy, I can't believe you didn't tried yet.
I'm still reading this thread from time to time (from the page one), and I think we had an amazing journey so far. I'm still answer "Oliver from Manchester" , when I am asked what droved me into vaping. So Cheers to you! -

I rarely buy premixed liquid.....but when I do, I try and replicate the same flavour with my own ingredients. I just know everything I vape is safe when I mix it myself. Plus DIY liquid is 3-5 times cheaper for me than buying off the shelf. I buy premixed for ideas.
I will have a look at Twisted cheers.
Most of the liquid in the UK comes from China, but you do find some shops selling their own stuff which is wonderful! It's a good idea to stay away from petrol station and corner shop E-Liquids; all chinese crap with impurities. Or they have LOTS of sweetener in which makes the liquid go brown/red. My liquid stays clear to the very last drop.
I have found Italian flavours can be very good but the Inawera (from Poland) and Tasty Puff (American) ones are my favourite. But you like tobacco flavours so that doesn't really help. The only tobacco flavour I have enjoyed is one called Silky, I still vape it from time to time or add a couple of drops to my atty.
Yeah I should try some micro coils but my Provari voltage doesn't go low enough. I normally make a 1.6-1.9 ohm coil. They last me three weeks or so before I get hardly any vapour. Still using ekowool. In fact, I am on the same piece of wool from almost 2 years ago, still have the same roll of wire too! Very cost effective.
I'm cutting down to 6mg, thanks for the kick up the arse! 12mg feels like too much now. Makes my head spin with a new coil lol
Haha "Oliver from Manchester"....the guy who introduced me was a taxi driver! He said "have a few puffs on this" in his car and I was sold immediately. So if I ever see him again I will give him a big handshake.
Nearly 13,000 views on this thread now....hopefully it has encouraged many others to kick the habit.
2 years smoke free for me!

I bet that room smelled nice with all that vape wafting around. Did other people look at you with suspicion, or is vaping generally accepted where you are ?
March 10 will officially mark my first anniversary. Interestingly, I rarely ever feel the urge to want to smoke a stinky stick any more..!
