Any smokers here? Wanna quit?
-
Thanks Oli......that is very helpful.
I might PM biebel and find out where his source is....Adelaide doesn't have much to offer and there are no walk in shops here that sell them
-
Sounds like an ideal business opportunity there in Adelaide.

Yeh..!!
There are a couple of Web based 'eShops' who are (or claim to be) in Adelaide....they could be anywhere really couldn't they ?!!
I reckon eShops are less risky than renting expensive retail space and if the government happens to change the rules for eCigs and vaping, it will have less impact on their businesses if things turn pear shaped.
But from my point of view, a walk in shop would be handy and less confusing than the websites.

It seems to me most shops only sell Ego devices. I've never been in a vape shop that has a range of 22mm mods for example, in fact, I've never even seen an EVOD in a walk-in shop. It's an internet dominated industry.
In the UK I see most vaping devices being sold from corner shops and petrol stations, which is great but there is no choice.
I got the impression somewhere that Australia may be strict on e-cig regulation so perhaps that's why you won't find many shops. I may be completely wrong, but that's what I heard.
There is an aussie vaping forum, might be worth a try posting a question on there to see where people go for better setups. Kwistenbiebel may not reply for a few days so at least you can get cracking with information from that forum?
If your heart is set on a Provari then all you need to do is choose your 22mm atomiser.
I will ask for recommendations on the vaping forum I use and see what people say....like I said, we can only recommend either the vivi nova, innokin SVD or the kanger pro tank because that's all we've tested in that size. Apart from the Kayfun which is rebuildable but truly excellent.
I highly recommend a Kayfun but not as a beginner setup, try and stay away from rebuildables until you have found a nice E-liquid and are confident with how you like to vape.
Will let you know what the forum comes back with....shouldn't be too long.

Thanks Oli

Just to avoid confusion, the innokin atty is called the iClear30....the SVD is the mod, not the atty. Sorry about that.
-
Gareth,
Looks like the Vivi Nova or Innokin iClear 30 are the only 22mm atties that are suitable.
The Vivi Nova is a tried and tested favourite but the Innokin also has a good name. Both have replaceable coils, so that's easy and cheap.
If you go for the Vivi Nova make sure you get the latest version.
Innokin also sell a cheap mod called the SVD but I think you will find the Provari better quality.
Again, you will need:
A 22mm mod, Vivi Nova or iClear 30, Spare replacement coils, 2 batteries, a charger and plenyty of E-liquid.
How many do you smoke a day? If you smoke around 20 then go for a nicotine strength of 18-24mg.
24mg may blow your head off so perhaps try the 18mg first.
-
I smoke a pack a day (Dunhill) so that's 25 a day and I've been doing that for 30 years.....and at $19 a pack it wont take long before I get my money back on the cost of vape kit, let alone my health...!
-
I saved so much money and you will too. It makes you wonder how/why we pay that much for cigarettes!
You want the E-liquid to completely satisfy your nicotine craving so go for an 18mg or 24mg liquid to begin with. Like I said 24mg may be a bit too much but at least you will have more than enough nicotine to stop any craving.

I started with 24 and 18, now I'm on 12, tried 8 but not quite ready to go so low.

To be honest Gareth I'm not as geeked out as most guys as far as vaping goes, I have a Provari main unit (I guess the word is mod) which I can set the voltage, there are lots of other settings to play with but I have no need as I have two settings only that I like.
Then you get the tank part with the coily-sparky bit (atomizer I believe) I only buy Vivi Nova as it works great and simple to use.
I have 5 tanks, one mod and two batteries and I buy the atomizers in packs of 10 (they cost $12 for 10 and each one lasts about a week)
I have tried a few different atomizers (all Vivi Nova but different resistances) and find 2.8 ohm the best as it lasts longer and does not burn the liquid giving a foul taste. I set my mod at 4.6 volts for tobacco and 4.4 for fruity flavors. The reason I have 5 tanks is I do not bother cleaning out tanks if I want to change flavor, I have a dedicated tank for each flavor I like because I'm lazy and I want to vape and not tinker around.
Vaping is easy, do not get confused and scared by all the jargon, I'm like an Apple user of Vaping, nice shiny vape that just works, no fiddling around.

I'm thinking to buy this guy, but the mini version, to fit my ego's. It has a pyrex glass tank, it's glue free, and works with evod or protank resistance. It's chrome plated brass, not stainless steel, but for the price ( costs like two evods) I think it's brilliant.
I'm sorry I don't have it, to make a good review, but I heard only good things about it. At the end of the day, it's just another clearomizer, with bottom coil, and it does what is suppose to do.
Gareth, regarding the mod, just go with the provari, because you'll end up with one sooner or later. It's the standard, everything on the market is compared with it.
Be careful with the nicotine, I was a red marlboro smoker, so a 24 mg strength nicotine was perfect. If the nicotine strength is not enough, you won't find satisfaction, so the need for cigs won't go. I'm on 12mg now, and I think I'll go for 8mg next month.
Good luck!
Here is the image with the clearomizer I'll buy next:
PS: It's called " Davide Glassomizer"

Well it's looking like a Provari and Viva Nova v3.....now all I have to do is wait...!!
Unfortunately I need to order from two separate websites....what are the odds of both arriving on the same day..??!!
Thanks for your help and advice Oli, Pete and Co.

That's what I did, spent an entire months cigarette budget so I had no choice but to vape, and it worked well as I have never touched a smoke since day one. I save over $300 per month and I'm healthier, look better and have acute smell and taste (I used to think kids overreacted to my farts, I sympathize now)
-
it's a big investment....just over AU$500
LOL....and a cure for farts would be useful too....!!

I have been having a problem with the Kanger evod USB charger. It quit charging the batteries, the LED light was green and would stay green and not charge the battery only a few moths of use so I bought an other one now it won't charge the batteries either one so I don't think it's the batteries. Some one on one of the ecig forums suggested prying the post as they sometimes get pushed down on Kanger evod to no success now the LED is red and stays red even without a battery connected to it. Any suggestions?
