Any smokers here? Wanna quit?

You cannot use them here in Springfield, Missouri in any place that bans smoking... Which is everywhere. They are considered a cigarette with no data to back up any claims of safety. At least that's what the government says.
I also heard the Allen Carr book is good, I know a few people who have quit using it.
But because they are classed as a tobacco product, the import ban was lifted meaning you can buy them in the US legally. You're legally allowed to smoke them indoors in UK, most people don't for some reason, maybe because we got used to the smoking ban and common courtesy I suppose (being a walk over).
Anyway, you just need to Stealth Vape! I did it on the train and nobody noticed!

Solo I received the "Giantomiser" tank today. Not as good as normal tank.
Just stick with the standard one, the giantomiser be more durable but it doesn't draw back as nicely (very loose). I can't substantiate the durability claim though because I stopped using it immediately. So yeah, waste of money
I also looked at distributors for the AC9 Genesis rebuildable vaporizer and it appears they are sold out everywhere or difficult to get hold of. There are alternatives though which look and perform the same, so will keep everyone posted.

That site Solo is on has some very intersting info on rebuilt systems. Not so easy and has some warnings.
I have been though 3 systems and my desire is for 200 dollar system that works.
Until the mass produce the metal micro filters right, they are all going to be erratic. -
We should design one in SketchUp!
The RSST rebuildable looks exactly the same as the AC9....it's basically a chinese copy and costs 4 times less. But yet again they are all sold out over here!
Funny how people modify and "pimp-out" their vapes! It's like a new culture emerging. But yeah I'm gonna try and stick with a mainstream device, I don't trust myself with electricity!

I don't hide anything I do... I live in America. And personally cannot wait to get a ticket and have even tried to be ticketed just so I can go to court and fight these ridiculous bans that are always created by cities who have no constitutional authority to even make such bans. You can tell I'm pissed when I write huge run-on sentences...

Good on you kris! stick it to the man! Nobody has confronted me yet, but I will not concede to their ignorance about the law. I can vape in public and will continue to do so. Most people just look at me confused!

One of the things that pissed me off about our local smoking ban was that they purposefully put in the E-Cigs and did a tremendous amount of damage to local smoke shops who were enjoying a nice increase in business (in a down economy) because of the benefits of the E-Cigs. They also banned smoking in the smoke shops who often let people try the E-cigs and different type of tobacco. They also forced businesses who wanted to allow people to smoke to build outdoor patios for them... I believe that if a business wants to allow smoking that is their "business"... people will not frequent their establishment if they don't like it and employees don't have to work their if they don't like it... I can't stand people telling others how to live their lives.
Funny thing is that soon after the ban was enacted a petition gathered strength to put the ban to another citizen vote... When the vote came the Smoking Ban won by an even larger margin than before. So sad that others will strip you of your freedom for their personal preferences.

I did it, went to my local Vape store "great Vapes" and got myself a decent setup.
I bought a Provari variable voltage (full size), 4 cylinders, and 4x 30ml assorted liquids (24mg)
I got a coffee on way home and smoked my ass off in Starbucks and nada they could do, smells like tutti fruiti.

I always have to have a little chuckle when I see anyone talk about freedom and preferences in relation to smoking.
It's an addiction, not a choice.
If anyone has stolen your freedom it's the tobacco companies.
How long is it since you had the freedom to leave the house without looking for your smokes, either real or E.I'm not having a go at you, it's just that people seem to demonise the people trying to help people to stop smoking rather than the ones that got everyone addicted in the first place. I have experience smoking bans in many countries that people always said would never ban it, Italy, Norway, Finland, Germany etc and just like your local vote shows, smokers are actually happy about bans. It's annoying but you do smoke less. I always checked I had a full pack before heading out to the pub, then once it was banned you could go out with less than half a pack and still come home with some.
Over a year since I gave up and I still can't believe I went to bed one night a smoker and got up in the morning and didn't smoke.Sorry, sanctimonious reformed smoker ramble over now, back to the gadgets.
Edit: forgot to say I don't agree with the E ban. Anything that helps people stop has to be a good thing.

Pete, that looks sweeeeeet!! Wish I could buy a better one than mine over here, yours looks ten times better. Slightly jealous!
Let us know what you think of the device.
I would wish you good luck but sounds like you've already been liberated in Starbucks!
-
Yeah good find! I'd be really interested to know how you get on guys.
Funny how it took a smoking ban for somebody to invent these devices! That's the main reason they became popular, you can vape indoors!! edit: Also in car with windows up, no more cold hands and ash everywhere!

Thanks Oli.
I decided to go for a good setup 1st time as I decided today was the last day I will ever smoke, so I took my months cigarette budget and spent it in this rig ($340) now I do not have a cent to spend on tobacco and never will. I have not had a smoke since 10h30 this morning and do not even feel like I need one as this gives me a better smoking sensation set on 4.5 volts (my perfect setting, after playing around high and low) I bought Turkish blend, Razzle raspberry, Virginian gold and Tutti fruiti flavors.
I'll let you know how it goes, I told my kids if they ever see me with a tobacco product in my mouth I will give them $500, so the die is cast.

So it's the Alcohol company's fault you're an alcoholic and the fast food joint's fault that you're fat and it's the pharmaceutical company's fault your addicted to pills, it's the rich person's fault you're poor, it's the gun company's fault you killed yourself... Sounds like someone doesn't believe in personal responsibility.
I actually leave the house all the time and forget them... When I get back, I have one. It's my choice to smoke. Not theirs. No one forced me, no one convinced me, no one fooled me, If you think sucking on the end of something that is on fire is safe then you're probably at the shallow end of the gene pool in the first place.
As long as people keep blaming others for their own decisions we will continue to devolve into a nanny state...
You're for anything that helps people stop smoking? How about jailing anyone who does? We see how that worked out with drugs didn't we...
It's not the government's job to protect me from myself... It's their job to protect me from others.
I'm not having a go at you either, I just simply enjoy the debate.
-
Good one Pete, you'll never look back.
-
Even though my E-Cig is cheaper, I keep going through the vaping cylinders quickly. So don't worry about spending more and it looks the dog's!! + you've got a massive supply!
Some people have a tobacco flavour in one cylinder and fruit in another. I can only buy 10ml bottles of E-Liquid, so your big ones will last over a month easily.
I'm really impressed with your achievement though! If just one person quits or even reduces their cigarettes because of my testimonial I'll be very happy indeed. You've basically saved your life today Pete, and better still, the vape is so damn good!
Group support for Pete!
By the way, blow your vapour into a glass for instant spooky mist. It's more dense than air, your kids will think you are a mad scientist!!
-
I decided to go for 4 cylinders, each for a different flavor so I can just switch as needed and no cleaning to change flavors. I am drinking a few beers tonight and believe if I can drink and not need a fag then I will be just dandy, so far it's going great.
the guy at the vape store said in a few weeks I'm gonna hack up tar as it starts loosening from my lungs, did that happen to you also?
He also said that after 4 days I need to smoke a cigarette as it will make me sick and will clear up any residual desires to ever try again, your thoughts?
I'm sitting in my lounge watching TV and vaping...this is brilliant, I get to enjoy myself indoors now without missing baseball.

What a trip. Good luck, Pete!

Not massively but my lungs feel so much more open. First couple of weeks you still get that horrible brown mucus, but now I can clear chest without any particulates....for the first time in maybe 7 years. I found that smoking stops you from being able to clear your lungs completely. You try clearing your chest for hours to no avail. It just becomes permanent but I don't have that any more. Other than that, skin and smell/taste are much better. Just feel better all round, i feel better in my mind too, hard to explain.

Never heard that myself but I'm no expert. Do what you think is right. If you are enjoying vaping then I see no point in another cigarette.
I had come to a point where cigarettes made me feel sick anyway, so I never really had a ceremonial "last cigarette" I just bought the new E Cig and incidentally I haven't bought any cigarettes since. I made no effort. People say well done, but I almost feel like I'm cheating!
I like how my vape now makes the crackle noise instead of my lungs. It reminds me to never go back.
I looked at reviews of your device and all looks great, people are saying 4.5 is the sweet spot so you got that right.
