Any smokers here? Wanna quit?
-
I wouldn't worry so much. If there are any changes it won't be for another 3 years anyway. So keep on vaping, no need to doomsday prep yet!!
We live in a strange, sick world if they over regulate the possible solution to cigarettes. I do not consider e-cigarettes to be a medicine in the slightest. Over regulation will just pave the way for a nicotine black market, which is sad and unnecessary. If e-cigarettes are considered a medicine, then why aren't traditional cigarettes?
I accept the nicotine liquid will be taxed heavier due to the lost revenue on cigarettes. It's just the way our economy works, they lose money on cigarettes and recuperate it somewhere else.
The justification for sky-high cigarette prices is the burden on our health service. The idea is you are paying for your future healthcare as a result of smoking cigarettes. They can't have it both ways though. If there is less burden on a health system due to e-cigarettes then why should we pay any more for them?
I do not believe e-ciagrettes can become a "medicine" because they are becoming so popular and widespread. Every day I see someone vaping whereas a few months ago I never saw anyone doing it. What do they want us to do? Get a prescription for an e-cig? Yeah right. I'll have a prescription of beer to go with that please, and maybe a prescription of coffee.
I urge people to write to their MP or MEP about the possible regulation of e-cigarettes. We could be over a million-strong voice just in the UK alone. If nobody expresses concern about the possible restriction of these life-savers then the EU will just look at the potential revenue they can pull in. This is all about money at the end of the day, seems nobody is saying, "Wait a minute, these e-cigarettes have saved my life!" This should be the most poignant argument in the whole matter!
p.s. Well done giving up the cigs Chris! Not so hard with a good flavour liquid is it? Great news and good luck.

Thanks Oliver,
It's bliss to be free of the anologue sigarets.
As Pete said before, I never quit smoking, I just picked up vaping .
To celebrate quitting I am treating myself with a mod, the Innokin Itaste SVD.
I realise the Provari is the excellence of vaping, but that has to wait till I am smoke free for a long period.
The Innokin only costs 37 dollars (versus 199 for the Provari).
It has very good reviews so it will be vaping on a new level for me coming from Ego's (which still rock i.m.o) -
Great news!
After a couple of weeks you won't even think about cigarettes. If I ran out of E-liquid or all my atomizers broke, it wouldn't even cross my mind to buy cigarettes. I simply prefer vaping now; better taste, more satisfying and much more "smoke" than a cigarette.
So are you getting the Innokin kit which includes the atomizers too? I've never seen one before but heard good things.
Yeah Provari is well built etc but I don't believe they should be $199. Should be half that IMO. Saying that though, I've dropped mine about 10 times and it works fine! That's also the reason why I bought a couple of EVODs; in case I drop Provari again and it breaks lol
I was looking at the Svoemesto Semovar VW mod but I keep seeing stories about faulty units, so I'll stick with my Provari. I also got a feeling a new VW Provari is on its way anyway.
Better mods/atomizers just give you much more consistency over something like an EGO. Like you say, its like vaping on a new level.

I'm looking at SVD for some time now, the only thing that bothers me, is the size. It's huge with 18650 batteries. But I'm sure is great, I read only good things about this mod. Nobody complained about faulty units in the vapers forum here in my country. The biggest plus, is the fact that you can adjust the wattage, not only the voltage.
And, as a side note for Chris, you'll end up with a provari sooner or later.Everybody said that to me on the forum. Is like a path to follow for beginners.
Regards,
Stefan -
Hi Oliver,
Yes, it is the Itaste SVD kit that comes with two i30 clearomisers, also Innokin.
They are supposed to beat the vivi Novas as they need less tilting to keep the wicks moist and less gurgling.
I am looking forward to trying that .
I bought it from the notorious FastTech store, they undersell most Innokin things, which Innokin itself is not happy with but customers are lol .
Fasttech is Chinese and has it's own forum. Whenever the brand name is mentioned on the item , it's the genuine product.
They do sell clones as well (of EVOD bcc etc...) very cheaply. It's a matter of reading the reviews and discussions on their site to see if it suits.@Stefan ,
I agree , the SVD looks like a light saber ,
However it is a telescope mod.
With the 18650 battery it is quite large, while on a 1835 battery it becomes quite stealthy.
I will still be using the ego's when I am out and about .
For relaxed 'sofa ' vaping, I quite look forward to having that bigger piece of anodized steel in my hands and a bigger tank .Fasttech delivery times take a couple of weeks, I'll definitely give some feedback.
And yes, the Provari, the Holy Grail of mythical proportions he he ... I kind of postpone that till it's my birthday in a couple of months. A good way to celebrate having quit smoking for ever .

Woohoo , the nice postman had vape mail today .
The Itaste SVD is a brilliant MOD, I love it.
A very consistent and powerful device.
It is huuuuuuuge with a tank on it he he .As a little review on tanks.
Now I have a Kanger Pro tank, a Vivi Nova and two iclear 30's.
By far, the Iclear30 is my preference. A very rich full nice warm vape and a tighter pull than the Pro Tank (too airy).
The Vivi nova doesn't inspire me much. It has a tight pull, but less flavour it seems, at first sight...I'll test more with different juices.I also ordered a Vamo, which is on it's way.
It will be interesting to compare with the Itaste SVD.It feels a little over the top purchasing this gear, but it's fun ....and 50 dollars is the same price as two and a half packs of cigarettes (yup, prices on analogues are hilarious in Australia).
-
Wow, what a happy person! You'll going to take the vamo out, aren't you? Whith a couple of 16350 battery's in short mode....and your vocabulary is so.....pro-vaper already. Be aware of the vamo, it has a "sensitive " pole. Don't screw the aty too much, it will "sink" the + pole into the body, and no more contact. It can be restored, but you'll need some tools and the hands of a handyman. I just hope is stainless steel.
We need pictures, by the way!
Cheers! -
You are both right , vaping is just very enjoyable .
And the whole hardware/juice world is fun to explore.I am not ready I feel to go to rebuildables like the Kayfun yet.
Still too much fun exploring different kind of tanks and clearomisers.
Just changing the standard coils/atomizers straight out of the wrap is as far as I go for now.Today I saw two of my friends, both smokers and gave them a ego starter kit with ce4's.
They loved it and it makes me feel good that they might get of the stinkies.I added a photo below of the unleashed I-taste SVD beast, the i-clear 30 tank and a yummy 'butterscotch' e-juice (Mt Baker Vapor)
Indeed vape porn lol .
-
That looks badass!!! Nicely done!!
-
Well done, Master Jedi!
-
He he , great comparison
-
Yeah we definitely need some "vape porn" photos!! Great news you are enjoying the vaping world! You are in the pursuit of perfection.
Remember biebel if any of your atomizers have a loose draw, just bung some stainless steel mesh in the air hole.
Luckily my Kayfun has an adjustable air hole mwah ha ha! (evil laugh!) I used to enjoy a really tight draw but now I like it a bit airy because I get more vapour and don't have to suck too hard.
Some atomizers have a neutral taste at first, then get better over time. So your vivi nova may improve, saying that though I still haven't had chance to try one.
My mother is looking for a larger setup to vape at home so I'd be interested in your findings. I actually prefer a larger setup because you only have to top liquid up once a day, plus it's harder to lose or misplace. She wouldn't be able to use a kayfun, she'd drive me crazy asking how to re-coil it etc.
I have a feeling that your next purchase is going to be a kayfun! You won't look for another atomizer when you have one, it really is a fantastic device.
I find making coils/wicks very easy now, 5 minute job and you only have to change every 10 days or so. I still haven't used all the Ekowool and nichrome wire I bought months back, it's a very cost-effective atomizer. Making my own E-Liquid is only a 5 minute job too, I make 50ml at a time although I know someone who makes 1000ml at a time....check this....http://www.c9v-forum.com/cloud-9-vaping-diy-mixing/mixing-tip-bragging-about-zombie-juice/
When you get vape mail, the postman becomes your best friend....I start peeking though the windows to see when he arrives with anticipation!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

44 days smoke free.... and building a little collection

What the.....how the.....WOW!! Just WOW!!!

What might be happening in the hookah industry?

http://www.vapcigsblog.com/products/e-hookah-is-the-future-of-social-vapingYeah I used one of those E-Hookah pipes in Manchester. I have to say it's a better experience than using tobacco! No guilt or coughing up tar!!
One time in Amsterdam, I was using a hookah pipe and accidentally knocked the glowing coal onto the carpet!! The owner of the bar went absolutely crazy saying she'd "send the boys down" to teach me a lesson. Needless to say I made a quick exit. So yeah, I'm all for the electric hookah pipe!
-
Amsterdam, eh? mmmm hmmm. Fine municipality.
-
5months off da smokes now, just taught I'd drop by to let ye all know how I'm doing, cutting down on nicotine dosage too, if I can do it anyone can do it, keep it up folks
-
Well done iichiversii .
Same goes here: If I can do it anyone canIt's remarkable how easy it felt to not smoke.
Sure, the first days I kind of felt 'something' was missing, but when I took a little vaping toot when the thought occurred, the urge for a cigarette was easily gone.Whenever I see someone smoking I now think :'they will find out sooner or later"
And yes, the health benefits are there: my energy on the squash courts increased a lot.
I still get tired, but I have a second breath, a third... it totally rocks!Keep on vaping ! (hopefully the FDA will not ban the on-line sales as it would ripple effect all over the world)

A new experience: dripping.
The best vape so far.
Flavour X10, cloud X10 compared to any clearomizer or vivi nova styled atomizer.
And it consumes less e-juice.
The dripping atomizer just costed me 4 dollars, best vaping buck spent so far.Only downside: now I have to learn to rebuild it's coil he he
