Any smokers here? Wanna quit?

Kim, that's a fantastic achievement. Two family friends did the same as you; cut down to aroundย 5 cigs a day and then weened off completely. Whatever works best for you.
Please try visiting a vape shop to sample some flavours. Or if you must buy online look at reviews of the liquid you intend to purchase.
Lots of people are recommending a tobacco flavour called RY4. It's a blend of tobacco essence with hints of caramel and vanilla (apparently!)

VAPE PORN!!
Sorry if slightly out-of-focus, I don't have my macro lens with me. Difficult to get close ups with a long lens.
Took some photos in-hand and next to the EGO for size comparison and scale.

Cheers for the encouraging words, Oli...
Your new vaper looks... ... ... HUGE...The name is somehow funny...
ProVari Mini...
Wonder what it will look like in normal size, not to mention XL size... -
Cool new toy Oli, just when you thought you had everything I give you the pro-clip.
Now you can hang your vape around your neck.

Wonder what it will look like in normal size, not to mention XL size...Until batteries are drastically improved, they will always dictate the size of a vape.
Bigger atomizer=more power=bigger battery=larger rig
The normal size Provari is only an inch or so longer. I work from home so not like I need to carry it around anywhere.
Pete that looks funny, so overly engineered for a lanyard! love it lol
[EDIT]: However I think this would suit you Texans better

I can easily see how these vapers can turn into a model and render challenge...

Hang around your neck? A little weird.
You could set it up like this guy if you must have it handy.

Cool now I can vape on my way to Walmart on my horse.
I wish that was true! Got a superb image of The Lone Vaper in my head.
lol Peter, I may just duct tape it to my face!
Kim those are just too cool!! I would like a lord of the rings style pipe/vape.
I almost 3D printed a ceramic vape stand but that's going too far.

Oh on a side note....
The cancer hospital where my dad is having radiotherapy (The Christie) actually gave him an E-Cig to take home. He developed tongue cancer after years of smoking but he's on the mend now. Funnily enough, the day I found out was the last day I smoked a cigarette.
I kinda told his consultant he was still secretly smoking so they got him vaping instead. If cancer won't stop him smoking then vaping can only help.

I'm very sorry Oliver....I really am. I'm "in your shoes" if I can say so, I know how it feels. My mom have leukemia, we got this bad news two months ago. The good news is that is not in an advanced stage, and is kind of old (75 years). The doctor said it will be fine for the rest of her life, the treatment will keep the disease under control.
The point is....this kind of ....event will chance the way you see life. I don't want such a feeling for no one. I'm thinking about my health more then ever. This is a good thing, this topic IS a good thing! Sorry for being of-topic, but I wanted to let you know that I feel your pain man. Let's hope for the better!

Thanks Stefan, but don't be sorry for me, shit happens and we get through it. I know, we take life and health for granted. We seem to forget how lucky we are to even be here. I hope your mum stays stable and lives a fulfilling life.
Nobody realises the true effect of smoking until somebody close dies or gets cancer. The warning on cigarette packets do not work. The TV adverts do not work. The patches and gum do not work (93% failure). These devices should be embraced as a way to rid the world of this horrible tobacco disease.
Stefan when you have time, please write a mini review on your EVOD BCC atomizer. You can actually rebuild those you know?

I'm off the smokes 20 days now and saved myself from smoking 404 cigarettes, saved โฌ187 and gained myself 3days life, now that's not bad, but I can't live without my e-cig, with out it I'd be smoking already, I have already started to dislike the smell of smoke, had to clean out my love nest due to the smell of smoke, my life has completely changed, and all this because I tried someone else's e-cig and decided to get my own the next day, not once ave I looked bk and I'm never gonna smoke again, even my 4 yr old noticed and he is happy I'm vapouring and not smoking, lads if ye haven't started on a e-fag I suggest you do, it's far better, I feel great

I think with all this participation Mike needs to run a segment in the next Catchup, maybe even have a review of different models.
-
Excellent news and a great testimonial. I was wondering how you were getting on and I'm glad you reported back with good news!
Well done iichiversii.

Well done iichiversii!!! Congrats!
About my EVOD BCC atomizer, what can I say, it's better that the "standard" ones, looks better , taste is better. I bought a second one today, but sadly for me, I didn't find yet replaceable pins for it. I did found them on-line, but they are so cheap that the transport will cost more. So far so good, the first one that I had it's still in good shape, no drips so far. It is a solid cheap product, I'll stress it more (the first one) to see when it's going to fault. Maybe I'll end up rebuilding the pins, who knows, I'm kind of a patient type, so it could be fun to try it.
I did find a video review of it, so if you guys have the patience until of the end, this guy end up rebuilding the pin, so it should be fun and informative.
Cheers to all and happy vaping! -
Thanks lads, And I hope ye are all aven success with it as I am, ummm solo that's a great idea, does Mike smoke tho? I know Rich smokes, maybe we could convert him to using a E-Cig and right a review, lol

Mike, Csaba and Rich smoke, hope that next basecamp we are sharing juices sounds strange.

Thanks Stefan. My friends and family are still using EGO tanks so I will get them to try the EVOD instead. EGOs are good beginner vapes, but after a while you need more consistency. I take it you are still using your EGO battery?
That's the GREAT thing about rebuildables, the wire and wick are very cheap. The tank is expensive to buy initially but you never have to buy an atomizer again. The vapour is consistent and very tasty, no dry hits, even when liquid is very low. It really is another level of vape!
I recommend 0.16mm Nichrome and 2mm Ekowool Silica Wick. At least with a Kayfun anyway. The EVOD works on a similar principle to draw liquid onto the wick.
Ekowool is non organic and won't burn, it doesn't taint the flavour either....very good stuff.
Rebuildable atomizers that use a stainless steel wick are notoriously extremely difficult to setup and prime. So best stick to ones that use a silica wick or equivalent IMHO.
I mixed grape with red bull today for a change, nice combo. The grape has more VG in so I'm getting more vapour production too.
I've read a 50/50 VG/PG mix is best. Depends on personal preference too. I can't wait to DIY some juice!

Yes he does, I believe he was gonna try an alternative vaper that heats natural tobacco. Unfortunate thing with those is they do not create plumes of vapour....and you have to buy tobacco ยฃยฃยฃ. Still healthier than smoking though.
Good thing about these E-Cigs, you don't need converting. Just have a vape and you won't look back. Sampling the right flavour is all you need to do.
