Kim, welcome to the supreme club of international vapers!
Let us know which device you get and what you think.
Cheers, Oli...
This is what I bought online...
Should get it Monday...

Cool, I saw those in my Vape store, very popular starting setup they said. You gonna love it, did you know that vaping has an over 80% success rate (so they said) everyone that I have met so far (vapers) all quit from day one. I still have zero desire for a smoke, this shit works.
-
OK, so it's more then 24 hours since I smoked my last stinkie. I can't believe it's so easy, way to easy.
I started yesterday at 8 pm (vaping) until 11 pm. I was taking like two puffs at 5 maybe 10 minutes intervals. Don't ask me why, it just felt ok for me this way. This morning around 8 o'clock, I was drinking my coffee, vaping and keep smiling like an idiot. It felt right, me and my wife drinking coffee in the same room. It was a great morning.
So, like Oli said "it like cheating". Now about my e-cig, it's called eGo-tech (iGo3) and the kit have: 2x Clearomizor iGo 3, 2x battery's eGo-Tech iGo3 at 650 mAh, 1x Adaptor 220 V, 1x circular charger (docking charger),1x USB cable. The battery autonomy it's like 900 puffs, But I can't tell, because I used both of my cigs, one with coca cola flavour, and the other without flavour. I'm on 24mg/g nicotine by the way. I only have two liquids because I didn't knew how it's going to taste like, but I definitely like the one with the flavour.
What can I say more, I'm in the technical stuff now, because I know I'll have to buy some "bits" sooner or later. As a conclusion, after one day only, everybody in my family is happy, because I was the only one who smoked. I didn't craved for a real one since I started yesterday, and I think this is the most important thing. I was smoking like a pack per day, and I tried to quit several times, and one thing I remember, and that's the feeling from first days without smoking, almost like a pain. Is not 100% sure others will succeed, but Oli is fine , Pete is fine, iichiversii is fine, I'm fine .....what can I say, if one of you want to quit smoking, then try this option. There is a big chance to join us.
Good job everyone! -
Oh Frederick, what strength nicotine did you get? I suggest 24mg to start, it's perfect for quitting and then as time goes you can decrease it as needed.
-
This is a great thread I hope you all remain smoke free....
I'll reserve judgement on whether to vape or not.
My only experience with an electronic ciggie left a bad opinion. But I'm not even sure if it was one of these vape things?
-
Well done Kim! Yours have clearomizers with long wick. Oli said it's better, but I don't find them available in my country.
What I forgot to say in my previous post, is the fact that you feel that "kick" like the real smoke.
Oli, what method do you have when you clean your clearomizers, and how often you do it?
Cheers! -

Not the same thing Rich, I remember trying an e-fag from Mike's suggestion a couple years ago and it was horrible, this is something completely different.
-
Good choice Kim. As Pete says, it's great for beginners and won't break the bank. I'm happy with mine still, Pete significantly raised the bar though!

Well when you're in town next, just bob into the shop and sample it. The old style E-Cigs produce nowhere near as much smooth vapour as these. Plus with the choice in flavours and nicotine strength, they are significantly better (and cheaper) products. I first tried a Nicolite toy-looking cigarette last year, tasted like crap and as expensive as smoking but I knew it would be the future. Now these devices have taken the experience to another level. To make a product that actually beats the smoking sensation is pure genius.

Cheers!I don't clean, the middle clearomizer part lasts between 1-2 weeks so you just replace. When the taste starts to fade, or tastes a bit smokey, time to replace the clearomizer. You can clean the mouthpiece with water if you want. By topping up your E-LIquid things keep moving anyway.
I have found the new reinforced clearomizers/atomizers last much longer. And yes the longer wick helps draw up more E-Liquid. The old ones cracked and eventually leaked slightly. You will find an online shop that supplies them....don't worry about replacing, they are cheap! The battery part and everything else does not need replacing.
Tips: Don't let your liquid run low. Top up when there's about a quarter remaining to keep a nice flavour.
If you ever get a small amount of E-Liquid in your mouth, just rinse out with water.
Also when topping up your E-Liquid don't get any in the small vapour hole as it causes a blockage.
To remove a blockage, roll up some tissue and insert into the vapour hole. Now instead of inhaling, blow into the device and any liquid will come out the air holes

maybe next month pete?
Even more cost effective and they throw off lots of vapour. Not tried a "genesis" style rebuildable one yet, but will write a review here when I get hold of one.
And this is the one I'm trying to get hold of, the AC9.

Ahead of you, I plan to fire up my lathe (yes I have one, but need a friend to help me) I'm gonna make my own soon, from scratch.
I want a Star wars light saber Vape
-
Enough of the photos, vids and chat, where are the anatomically correct models and renders.
-
lol I bet Pete renders his first. The vapes are perfect for rendering; cool materials,concave/convex surfaces, bit of SSS in the mouthpiece!
I have FINALLY found a supplier of an awesome rebuildable atomizer. It's called the RSST, from China. (Rebuildable Stainless Steel Tank).
Only problem is they will only ship me 30 as per minimum order. So looks like I'll be selling the 29 spare!

I sure hope so... I browsed 4 different shops and after some research I decided to go with the eGo package...

Sure sounds very promising and I hope I'll be among the 80%...
The most important part - I believe - is that I have the right "setting/attitude" to want to stop...@solo said:

The strongest I could get was 18mg...
Don't know if this is something related to country regulations...!?
I use to smoke app. 15 Marlboro Gold a day... -
18mg is fine. good hit on the throat. I quit on 18 mg no problems. Now I have 12 mg in my other vape to cut down even more. I'd say if you smoke 20 or over, go for 24mg. If you smoke lights and less than 20 a day then 18mg is perfect IMO.
I had the worst possible "setting" to quit but still managed. Felt like life was really kicking me down past few weeks, one disaster after another......but never bought a packet of cigarettes.
I spoke to my father's cancer consultant and he puts nicotine in the same category as caffeine in terms of its negative effects. So don't listen to the anti-nicotine brigade, I heard this from someone in the most senior medical position you can hold in the UK.

So after some research, it appears the rebuildable atomizers such as the AC9 and RSST can be a nightmare to setup properly. Also, the stainless steel wick has been known to cause headaches, which I am prone to so best to avoid.
I am now looking at the Svoemesto Kayfun as recommended on the cloud9vaping forum. It's completely rebuildable but uses a silica wick, so no headache! The flavour/vape production are apparently great but I can't confirm yet.
Here it is in a couple of setups, same Kayfun atomiser, just different batteries/covers.
So Pete looks like I'll be getting the Provari too as it fits very nicely, you can also get a small ring so it sits completely flush. Provari is getting a good review everywhere from what I've seen.
I borrowed this photo from cloud9vaping that I found yesterday, very active and helpful forum.
So my next rig will look like the bottom one in the photo. Although I will get all stainless finish and stainless mouthpiece too.
User manual for Kayfun:

Great stuff, I love my Provari, here is an image of what I bought, I like the stainless tanks, lots of supplies and parts.
Red tank for Raspberry mint, clear tank for Camel lights, Black tank for tropical coconut and Cyan tank for premier menthol.
-
Do you really wish to see my pot kit too? I can take a picture if you want...
-
Wow quite a range of flavours you got there. It's good how your tanks come with spare atomizers. What's ya favourite flavour so far? or should i say favorite flavor
That's the reason I'm looking to buy a rebuildable, you only need to buy wick and wire instead of full cartomizers/atomizers. Very difficult to get hold of though, they are made by individuals instead of big companies so when stock arrives they sell out within minutes. I even had to subscribe to a newsletter so when stock arrives I can get one immediately!
-
Yeah, I have a good variety, so far my go to flavor is Camel lights aka Turkish blend, as it's the one that completely takes my cigarette cravings away. Every tank comes with 4 atomizers so I'm good for a long while, and my Vape store is 3 miles away and they have everything one can imagine so I'm good, oh, they also make custom vapes to order.
They had a Hookah vape as well as a few different skull shapes, a snake and a grenade one, nicely made but some of those custom ones cost $$$$$ -
Sounds awesome! The vaping community is just so helpful, they have vaping meets too. There is one in Dallas, so keep an eye out. Although sounds like that shop has everything you can imagine and staff to go with it! The shop I go to is tiny and only sell one device. So have you still remained smoke free? Glad you are enjoying your experience.
