In a recent file/drawing I created, I went to hide a component. It hid but left a lightly colored wire frame/grid the shape of the component still visible. I don't know why it did this nor can I get this to hide so it is in the way of viewing/working on what is behind it. Any ideas or assistance?

It's because hidden geometry is set to "visible" (under the View menu). It would be better to create a layer onto which you can put this component and which you can hide/unhide any time - at least if hiding it was not just a temporary thing while you are modelling.

Sounds like you have hidden geometry turned on. View menu, untic hidden geometry and it should go away.

I had a similar anomaly recently but it wasn't hidden geometry.
I closed the program and re-opened and it went away.
