Be thankful that I scrapped the idea of skimming the atmospheres of stars. Now that would get you a nice tan pretty quick.
Well the, the wings also contain two secondary engines so they're practical.
In any case we're talking about a ship capable of crossing interplanetary space, for a civilization which reached that point, just about any shape would be feasible.My motto is: If it looks cool, keep it!

Hey...another idea just slammed my noggin. How about we come up with a short story about the ship, we animate it and post the clip or clips on youtube? Of course after we completely finish it.

lol, i can see it now, "Marians Log, star date 2012" ha ha, an animation, that i can do, so have you started on the textire, my texture skills on something like this would render useless

No texture for now. I;m just tweaking the mesh.I think we'll model in most of the details and use texture only here and there, I'm no expert either.
Don't worry Peter, we;ll post it here.
Hahaha, funny you should say that...I was thinking of starting more like this "This is the story of the Starship ******, sent on a mission of discovery and exploration where no man has yet set foot."
I do have some more serious ideas though, but I'll write something another time.

it sure was fun so far, i liked the way we agreed to post our comments between eachother publicly instead of privately, i taught it was gonna get hairy there at one stage when Marian told me off

The bridges for it yeah and maybe some corridors. I'm still thinking of a way to put in an external bridge, any ideas?
