      Hi Guys,

I know we have an electric vehicle following here and thought many of you might be interested in learning about the C-1 from Lit http://litmotors.com/c-1/ They intend to use an "electronically-controlled gyroscopic stabilizing system" to keep the bike upright. Even if this works, I think it would take some time to get used to it. However think the concept is fantastic and hope they manage to pull it off.

Kim (the designer) says, "It takes a baby elephant to knock it over", but in the videos it shows and Kim says that the C-1 is capable of taking a T-Bone hit! I doubt a baby elephant is capable of producing as much 'push' power of a vehicle moving and 20-30kph! Also was not able to figure out from the X-ray image, where they intend to place the battery.

Performance wise they tell us we could be looking at a 0-100kph figure in 6.5seconds and a top speed of 150kph. Price wise the C-1 should be reasonably affordable at $16,000 taking the electricity using payback period into account.

The final comment I would make it that I hope they don't forget a headlamp and some indicators 😄

      Mike

An interesting article Bep. I see that a Louis Brennen from Castlebar, Co. Mayo (80 up the road from me) was involved in the production of the The Schilovski Gyrocar. Brennan also produced a Gyro train. See here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Brennan
