Cant rotate a turbine

Hi,
Can anyone help me on how to rotate turbine? I have 5 turbines to turn, if anyone is able to help me rotate it that would be great and tell me how to do it as well.
I've tried using the "Motor" function and used the "Joint Connector" but I am unable to make it rotate, instead the whole drawing just drops down vertically instead.
Any help would be appreciated.
