It's all downhill

Nice, John! I don't know abou the bogey--sort of a Brit Hot Wheels? Fun on that road, but bumpy.
Often when I see pictures of those sorts of houses in England they are all the same. These are either built independently or have had new cladding and trim over the years?
It'd be nice to have the light of the beautiful sunset have more effect on the light on the houses. Hue or perhaps they'd be darker?

Hello Peter, you've never lived until you've crashed a bogey! no brakes.
Looking at a lot of the old buildings here, they look to be built as they went along using what ever materials they could get hold of...
Added a little warmth to this image.

great stuff as usual mate.
Bogeys, yup we had them as kids, the problem was always finding wheels, prams were good, but normally butchering a supermarket cart was what one ended up with, really bumpy wobbly ride, and we had brakes....just we called them feet.

You have a unique style, which is very eye catching/appealing, John...

The illumination "over the shoulder" seems very diffuse, as if a slightly overcast sky behind the viewer. That might tend to accentuate edges in the scene, and makes this a unique moment.

Beautiful modelling work, as always. To me the lighting seems at odds with the sky image that suggests something dramatic. The nearby houses seem a little too clean, "plasticky".
We had sleds instead of bogeys and were able to get into enough danger with them too. Luckily the traffic in Helsinki in about 1960 wasn't what it's today. I remember racing downhill on a snow-covered street and the sled stopping on the streetcar tracks in the middle of the main throughfare the street ended in. Luckily my parents never heard of this...

Thanks everyone, Pete we had the same brakes, vividly remember dreading going home after forgetting to change my school shoes!
Anssi, seems the kids have a different view of fun today, to them exertion is plugging in a USB.
I was never any good at games, if we played Doctors and Nurses I always had to be the Ambulance Driver!!
A quick filter and desat, lost heart in this one
