      @Dan + anyone else that's interested,

      Have you ever had a play or look at this Shoes.app http://shoesrb.com/

      It's a simple ruby GUI app builder created by _why

      I was wondering if it could be 'shoehorned' into SU as a plugin for creating WD GUI's or if it's standard output could be repurposed to create plugin interfaces.

      It's very nicely done and the manual is very informative.

          Yes I did see they have a Git page..

          This is not really WebDialogs*****.. it's native App Windows & Dialogs. It's really a matter of communication with the Sketchup app itself, and in most cases we need the windows to be child windows of the SU window. That's not say it would also be nice having applets that ran in their own process, that could still talk to Sketchup.

          ***** This subject was broken off from another topic entitled:

          I'm not here much anymore.

            Never saw that before.. it's kinda weird the way it's setup, but alot like MacRuby also.
            He seems to have put a Ruby interpreter inside it, so I don't know yet.. may take a huge rewrite to have it work in a normal Ruby way.

            And then there's the issue of communicating with the Sketchup app... he's seems to have gone out of his way to be sure each "Shoes" app is separate.

            I'm not here much anymore.
