      Hey SU Community,

is there a way to distort 2D geometry with a clever Sketchup Plugin like that?:

I want to pre-distort geometry for an optical application.

FredoScale is not able to do that.

      many Thanks.

I don't know of an existing plugin that can "blow up" or "suck" space. You could manually distort the space of a group or component in any direction with control points in SketchyFFD. But it's maybe a bit difficult to do it absolutely symmetrically.

Would be a nice plugin idea.

I think I found a way to do it =).

I just project the geometry onto a curved surface. Than I export the view as 2D dxf.
So,the imported dxf contains the distorted geometry. The distortion value can be controlled by the fov of the camera.
