Is anyone aware of any other applications that allow for a similar dynamic component functionality as found in sketchup? I need only to work in 2d for an upcoming project, and I would like to weigh my options on feature sets. After about an hour of googlesearching, all I could find was autocad dynamic blocks. Can anyone recommend another platform, or perhaps weigh the feature set of SKP's vs the ACAD equivalent? Any leads would be much appreciated! πŸ˜„

Is there a reason you do not want to use SketchUp?

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

I was curious as to what may be out there, and if such an option may better suit me. One of my biggest concerns is an ability to control line-weights among components. Since it is a largely graphic application, I am considering simply using texture images in SKP with my desired weights. . . ❓
