WIP - Officers Tactical Battlepod (Glaug)

I agree.

But I would like to see it from a different angle - from an inferior position, more like "worm's-eye view". -
This isn't exactly a worms-eye view because when we get too small the perspective gets a bit crazy (this thing is about 150 ft tall)... but here is a more aggressive camera angle.

Jason. -
ThatΒ΄s more like it!

I found a nice free HDRI of the milky way that I used since My ultimate goal is a space battle I thought it appropriate.

Jason.Altogether neat! I preferred the shiny one though.
That's a neat HDRI: care to say where you got it?
-
Yes, I would like to know as well. However, there is one in the sIBL archive http://www.hdrlabs.com/sibl/archive.html
-
That's the one -- author: Blochi, named: Milkyway... There are also some you can buy on the Dosch site but since I can't expect the people watching my videos to go buy the set I used the free one on sIBL archive (which is fantastic, free or not, thanks NASA!)

I'm getting ready to UV map/unwrap and texture several variations in ZBrush -- I'll post those as I go.

So here's the first piece unwrapped and painted in ZBrush (and rendered in Maxwell)... I used this peice to demo the process in some ZBrush videos I'm wrapping up now:

Another test -- mostly just trying out different ideas for the workflow into Maxwell before I get too far into it.
