Very simple model, I just thought it might be interesting for some people πŸ˜„

The tower looks like that because it was "half" blasted.

      12th/13th century:

        Hi Aerilius,

I know (well, suspect) that you have more to show. Would you mind if I moved this into the Gallery (where it truly belongs no matter it is a "GE model") and you could then add some more explanation as well as some images and maybe renders (if you made any already)?

You know this is my favourite stuff! πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘

BTW the reconstruction seems to be sunken a bit (for the time being):

        (I know, I know... πŸ˜‰ )

        Gai...

          Cool!

So you're posting this stuff to Google Earth?

He's got a whole bunch of them. Current state and reconstruction (some with nice, interactive tours)

            Gai...

Fixed! (How could I miss to check it in GE? πŸ˜’ )

You can move it to the galery if you like.

I have not (yet) more, I just used the opportunity that I had finished the current state of the castle.
Then I constructed it from the drawing and create some textures in Gimp (normal wall/roof textures + windows + dirt; no renders).
              Wachtenburg_Aufbaustudie.jpg
I hope the reconstruction will be accepted too (in a not too far future). Maybe some good renders will pass as "proof of existence"? (Once I had nearly convinced a Googler... πŸ˜„ )

So still there is some special treatment of the textures (will need some extra explanations - I still use your generously shared materials from the Limburg Monastery) πŸ‘

Once a 14rh century reconstruction of a Church I made (now there is a 16th century Turkish mosque in place) was accepted by Google. Then I had to appeal so that they removed.
                πŸ˜„

Okay, so I am moving it... And of course, will have a look at the fixed model! πŸ˜„

                Gai...
