In reference to this thread here, this is the finished render. 35 passes in Thea Render, took about 8 hours. Lots of lights, reflections and a displacement texture probably slowed things down a lot. Used 2 stock Thea paint textures along with the stock brushed stainless texture. Gotta thank Notareal for the braided hose texture. All SU modeling.

Still have to render out the other views, (side and rider's view), but I'll post the top first.

Small pic. Click the link for a 3000x2250 image (TOP).

Point of Order here. . .something that always bothered me since 1983when this particular imperial mode of conveyance first made its appearance in ROTJ.

In what way is this a "Bike" --Bike of course being the diminutive nickname for aBicycle. .
        BImeaning 2
        cycle meaning. . .er . . um . .. Cycles. (round things?)

There are no round things here --and there are certainly not 2 of them. This could just as easily be equated to a Horse or a anything else that one would . .. ahem . ..straddle in order to ride. . . . ๐Ÿ˜ณ

SO poeple i ask you . . .HOW IS THIS A BIKE????

oh .. . really nice render by the way. . .wish i could do that.

        D ๐Ÿ’š

If I make it look easy...It is probably easy

VERY NICE IMAGES!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry had to yell it!

Great studio mate, and comes at a great time! I've offered a friend developing an new Forumla Ford chassi (spelling?) to render out some images. They are pretty sound that they have nailed the aero from testing still within the rule limits to make it 2 seconds faster than any current model, which hey have also analysed in depth!

I'm now really inspired to test a similar scene!
