It's that time...you know, when I insist this model gets the 'Render this' treatment.
So, if it's okay with you lets get going.
LOL, I'm working on it. Unfortunately I may need to re-do a lot of it as I didn't bevel any of the edges, so it's too "sharp" in the render, and the "shell" has some odd bumps in it due to the differing edge counts where Curviloft formed faces on my curves, so I may need to re-make that to have a suitable render. As much time as I've invested in this, it would be silly not to go the extra mile. Plus, I'm learning Thea Render, so that will add a little to the texturing time.

Test render of the main panel using Thea.

where did you get that font?

Worthy for a TDC post! http://news.sketchucation.com/art-wip-star-wars-speeder-bike/
Coen, you mistakenly wrote Liam as the authour of the model on TDC instead of Jeff.
-
Wow! I never would've thought! Thanks!

Exactly, and the circuit breakers are from the same as well.

Gee. . .I don't think it's detailed enough. you might want to add a couple of ewoks. . ..Use the fur plugin!
-
Lol! I have a vision of using this speeder in a car-commercial type animation with a little dark "Empire-style" humor in it that includes Ewoks. I've got 2-3 versions story boarded out in my head. I may give it a try; but considering that texturing is the next big hurdle for me, animation is a long way off.

I'm impressed, I was looking to download SketchUp for modeling exactly that in order to make a real road bike in the future, but you design is unbeatable. You Win
Any change of sharing it?

I'm not sure if I want to put it up, there are a lot of errors in it that would probably frustrate someone else; but I'm taking the time to compensate for them. It's also much too large for 3DWH, but I'll consider it.
Update on texturing: Ignore the odd colors, they're just placeholders. Some scale/positioning adjustments to be made as well as adjustments to existing textures. This is about 10 minutes Thea IR.

Almost done:
