World Cup!

The next game Portugal-Brazil is a game to watch. The number 1 in this poule could be the team to play agianst the Netherlands in the 1/4 finals.
So the question is who wil be the number one in this poule, i hope and think Brazil because there soccer is better organised.
Other news is that the dutch players have opened a cruyff court in capetown. A Cruff court is a fenced soccer playground where the youth can play without disturbing other people. Cruyff was one off the best players in the world. -

And sofar we will play against Italia or New Sealand. Both teams give the dutch team no problem.
I would not be making such bold statements, especially in regards to Italy, history has proven that they are always slow starters in the world cup and strong in the knockout stages, and new Zealand has proven to have heart as well as super defenses.
I see Spain playing Brazil in the first knockout between these groups and the winner then probably facing Netherlands in the quater finals.

This is a picture from a cruyff court in

It had to be VILLA the one to break through
keep the faith

Whoah!!
This is becoming nail biting stuff, half time and South Africa are beating France by 2 to 0, and Uruguay have Mexico by 1.
-
Oh well, South Africa did not make it to second round due to goal differences, but they did beat France and they also do not go through so it's a loss but not a sour one IMO.
-
Real pity - 1 lapse of concentration and Bafana Bafana are out. They should be proud though - they got 4 points. Would have loved to seen them in the last sixteen.

Only watched Argentina win Greece
good people those paisans from América South
but we are keeping to getting ready

The plot thickens....
Tomorrow is going to be one hell of a day, group C and D play the final games in the group section and there is drama in all of the games. In group C we have Slovenia, USA and England all playing for two positions, there are so many dynamics to calculate and scenarios that one needs a computer to figure out what the hell is going to happen after every goal. With teams playing at same time it is gonna be a soccer frenzy. I'm hoping for a win for both England and USA, that way they can both go through.
Then there is the German game, I believe they should win over Ghana, but I'm not totally confident, so I then hope for Australia to win and be the factor that helps Germany if they only able to squeeze a draw or heaven forbid a narrow loss, which IMO they should go home as not beating Ghana means you not ready or good enough for the world cup.
So go Germany, OZ, USA and England.

De dutch team has a day off, and they spend it on a very social visit.
They went to see Robbeneiland, the place were Nelson Mandela has his prison
-
England through!
-
Yes they are, I'm typing this from a British pub in Dallas and both USA and Pom's are going nuts.
The question now is who will face Germany....if any at all?
-
USA! What a game and what a fitting end to what has already been a crazy World Cup for the Americans! I can't wait to see what happens this weekend..

Hey, I called it!!
All the teams I wanted to win, won.
-
justice has been done to the american team. In the game against slovenie they scored a goal who was been cancelled by the referee. Yesterday also a good goal was once again cancelled by the referee. Both where good goals and must count.
In this case was it more than normal that the American team qualified for the 1/8 round. And then they meet Ghana so i think America is qualified for the 8 best teams this tournament.Today The Netherlands must let the world see that they are the team to beat on this event. Cameroon is out and the game to watch is Denmark vs Japan. In the other poule everything is possible. I think Paraquay and New Sealand are going further.
-
The cup holders Italy are out, beaten 3:2 by Slovakia, oh dear, Slovakia played well, Italy were just not good enough in the first half but came out in force the last 20 minutes.
New Zealand also go out, without losing a game in this world cup.
-
Portugal vs Brazil, a game I have been waiting for, they have only played each other once before in a world cup and Portugal won 3:1, so lets see how things are going to pan out.
later we see if Spain get through, gonna be a great day of soccer.

Football you kick with your foot!
I've seen a lot of 'hand of God' moments that could put the whole 'foot' thing in doubt.
