      Hi everybody,

Here's a bedroom I've been working on. Model made in SU and render done with Indigo. First venture into discplacement πŸ˜„ . Love some feedback on the scene and render. maybe some tips regarding discplacement mapping. I just made discplacement maps with pix plant 2 and loaded them as external maps indigo. I understand that the input is in m so 0.01 wil be a displacement of 1 cm? the other options in Indigo regarding mesh subdivision I dont understand so I left the as they were.

          Very nice.

The wall graphic looks like downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with one of the three bridges, 6th Street, 7th, or 9th Street, in the foreground. Is it? If so, which bridge? I lived there long ago and walked across the 9th Street every day, going to and from work.

Edit: Yes! I'm sure that is Pittsburgh. Just looked at the same scene using Google Earth. I believe it is from the middle bridge, the one they re-named for Andy Warhol.

"kerel ziet er goed uit ma dat wist je natuurlijk al. Vind het alleen jammer dat je de noise niet eruit heb gehaald ma daar zal je heust wel een reden voor hebben". en ik begrijp de muren niet waarom je dat boven ingeduwd heb net alsof je een lijst heb. Heeft niet echt toegevoegde waarde het roept alleen vragen op.

Dude, it's looking good, but you already knew. Only thing is, why haven't you despekkle your render.

Mate the displacement looks great (carpet I assume), you could even crank it up a bit more I think!

BTW is the lamp on? It seems to be giving some light but not enough ( could just be the reflaction near the wall)!

Thanx for the comments everybody. πŸ˜„

Richard: I used displacement on the carpet. I agree that I could crank it up more, but I think the quality of the result depends on the quality of the displacement map? The lamp has no light in it. I used the Oren-Nayar material in Indigo. I thank that's the reason of the light bouncing of the lampshade.
