Hi Jeremy,
Love the model and the render. As for the Avatar: I see it runs in the family

mate, these are great, very nice first-class renders
-
Really nice renders...
Any client of mine would be happy with these...However, I assume you've posted here to get some crits as well as to learn and improve...
Something is disturbing my eyes...
The images appeare to be daylight shots, yet you have some outdoor light sources switched on, which seem ackward...??I assume the vegetation is done in post pro, since the light on bushes and trees doesn't match shadows in the render...
Finally I find the sky overexposed... Was this on purpose...??
Did you use a sperical sky in KT...?? -
Nice renders, they look very good.

I did not use kt, and the sky is a background in sketchup.
The sky is not on purpose . The bungalow was very dark so played a bit with the gamma.Kerkythea is the program I use the most, but it's not very good with plants. so I put al the plants in my su model. That's why it is so flat.

Not sure I understand what you mean....
Have you ever played with some real 3D trees...?? If not you can start trying some of the free Xfrog trees made ready as KT Model Libraries...
Check the Replace your instance with KT instance object (proxy, almost) thread, which contain a tutorial I made many moons ago, where you place 2D components in SU and replace them in KT with real 3D trees and plants...The KT Instancing brush is really powerful... Have you seen the Instancing Brush Video Tutorial...??

it is second time that I've played with instance replacing and both had no good result, the first one really caused strange result. this time seems more better, by the way , high poly objects are not insetted at their right place:

the center of the axis for the 3D hi-poly tree is not guaranteed to match the center axis for the component instance.
You may have to adjust the position of the tree in this case. Also the scale may vary from model to model. -
and what would be the result if I change the hi-poly center axis, usilg Alt+klick on it, at the refrence instance?
