AERO-SPACE DRAWING

Very cool, Dolph.
On suggestion: you can turn on the shadows in Sketchup and orient the sun so it is behind the ship to match the lighting in your render and add some realism to it. Looks like the main source of light is that blue-ish white star or whatever it is.

Thanks for that Ken but these are not renders but just the model with a backround when i have completed the model i will try for some realistic looking shots, for now just showing off the detail
-
Ok, cool. Will be looking forward to the final render then.
Nice detail. I like that "worm" think.
Best,

wow this looks good dolphus cant wait for the render, hopefully ill have some free time soon to finish my solar explorer, http://forums.sketchucation.com/download/file.php?id=53230&mode=view
what are you going to use to render?
-
Thanks Liam, but sorry to disappoint My old laptop just doesn't have the grunt to render anymore, so this is as good as it gets......more to come later

View of "Elevator system" From Crew Quarters to Central Walkway

looks great it is very detailed, shame about the render times! You should try a range of software render trials you may get lucky and find one that runs a bit smoother on an older machine?
-
My problem is with the memory of the laptop soon as it builds up a biggish file it "bombs out" something to do with a swopfile glitch, just need some know-how (not me)
Anyway here is a more detailed view of the elevator (at the command module end) showing the access gangway, airlock, elevator entrance ans elevator shaft (elevator driven by compressed air) re-cycled of course! -
Can you spot the Maintenance and service pod approaching the Utilities Module Spaceport?

Utility Pod during a routine inspection

You've been quite busy, Dolph. Cool stuff.
Keep it up.

Dolphus, everything looks great. On your first model, the airplane, along the lines of Eric's comments to remove the black line around the lettering, did you also eventually remove the black lines between the different paint colors?
-
Thanks for the comment Ken and Ben ...Ben i remove the black line where it has the best effect mostly around lettering etc..hope this helps
