it seems nice 👍 , but in my sight a bit too shiny 😒 . guessing that the real skin is not only a color , but also it has textures ,part to part, and sketchup is not good app for those sort of texturing. you may do the texturing ussing blender , max , etc... good tecturing definitely will improve the model (thers is a good tutorial on sketchupartists web site on blender-sketchup texturing 😉 )

      Cheers majid. 😄
It looks like you already mastered thea, impressive renders, well done. 👍

About SubSurfaceScattering 'SSS': Its complicated and mostly is in use for realistic portraits - skin. A good tip here is to render a second layer (skin parts only) using a few warm area lights behind. Then PP the two layers. BTW nice model (the girl), excellent choice for an office environment. 😆

@sepo and others with png alpha, updated the guide at SU2TH forum.

Thanks Notareal, I was able to get it working fine, but it sure is a lot of steps. I couldn't image trying to render one of my landscape designs and having to do that 50 or more times for all the plants I use. Hopefully Tomasz will get it to the point that the SU2TH exporter will do all of those steps automatically for every .png or .tif image with transparency.

In case someone missed latest update, Thea Studio build 350 has now a automatic clipmap from png aplha when png (with aplha) used as a diffuse texture.

                    nice render majid. 👍
Displacement works much better with B&W 16 bit images. These images should look almost grey, no contrast at all, the middle grey tone is crucial its the neutral. 8 bit images tend to cause steps effects.

it is a raw sketch of a wip (also after next two weeks, that i'll be away on a trip). however su is not good on curve texturing at all, it was a bit hard for me , but for the nest version, certainly will improve it, maybe adding more detail,...
here I was seeking a late sunset mood, so increased the overall contrast in Thea, no post pro.

Don't be so sure... the whole SU concept is against this. Its about UV mapping. Except... well, have you heard about 'ptex'?

Ptex sounds like a great concept, who knows if it will find a way to SU and wider... As the Ptex library is now available as open source under the BSD. Just dream... no more UV mapping troubles.

Ptex sound great as UVmapping for me is a nightmare still (so lazy to learn Max or Blender mapping, and generraly no need for an architec 😉 )....

I'm still amazed at the speed of the BSD engine, here is one similar to a series of integrated bathroom instalations that I'm getting done for a catalogue, this is half the size of original (resized for posting) as they need to be 300dpi for print.
This render took 1 minute 49 seconds, unbelievable.

I'd like to show the actual renders and designs but I'm bound by an NDA for the moment, but as soon as it goes live I'll link it to this post. (modelled with Sketchup)

LOl, I guess so, but this is not the actual product, this is one I tested with, it's missing lots of detail like the actual (name branded) fixtures and plumbing.
