After two not so succesfully designs for a start (newbie) i have learned more lessons, and also in rendering with twilight.
I think that i kwow now much more so i have here my third project, a design house from the front. It is a WIP and there a coming soon some more renders from different views.

Please let me know what you think about this attemp.

Uhm....OK lets start by saying this, you hopefully are looking for honest comments. With that being said there are some major issues here:

The building itself is very basic and missing many of the details that will bring this to life. You can't take a rectangle and push pull it around and punch some windows through and call it a building. Before you even render the model itself needs to be worked through. Rendering things are not going to make them automatically look better than if they were not rendered.

Your tree is obviously a cut out and it shows. If a tree is going to be in the foreground it should be geometry to look correct. I would only suggest using cut outs for background trees not only to save on file size but also to make the forground ones look believable.
The texturing needs major work as the grass is not only repeating but does not blend with the background.
The driveway looks to be large rocks (texture) and not some sort of paved material.
When I speak of details, it is things like no door knob, no exterior lighting, etc.

I know you have said this is a work in progress but as artists we need to be open to the real comments and not always expecting to only hear the good. It will help us grow as artists to have our peers be critical more than always beating around the bush.

So I think there is a lot to be done here but I look forward to seeing additional images.

        Best regards,
        Scott

            Scott,

Thanks for the comments, i agree with you and i only want to hear where i could learn from it. Your right to say that i don't have details like outdoor lights etc etc. This is what i must do before rendering.

But your comment regarding the tree, is that kind of comment i want to hear.

I have rendering my design from another angle, and with an other preset like fletch told me. In this scene you see also the tree, but for the next attempt he is out of the picture, end there should be a lot of details added.

I will wait for better detailed renders before commenting further.

Models and materials looks weird...try improving them and render with higher presets. πŸ˜›
