I downloaded this application today and gave it a whirl. Its a Free 2D draughting application very similar to Layout.
It has some good basic drawing and presentation features that youd expect and CAN export to DWG as well as .pdf, jpeg or .png. It has a library of components, and can add coloured graphics including import options.
Allows you to draw on A4 or A3 set up and print, or export to selected scales.
A good application for non CAD users but doubt Id buy it. Note: in the EULA that the software will automatically deactivate itself in April 2010.

IF you think that's cool (which it is), take a look at Autodesk's latest incarnation called Project Butterfly. How about CAD via the web? No software needed except a browser? Lots of features and can save out to standard .dwg file.
