Even now I am confused by some of the remaining artifacts. For example the rims on the mirrors do not reflect and light from the pendants get behind the mirrors and the rims of the mirrors cast no shadows.

Bye bye melamine and hello tile and oak with only a touch of melamine as black edge banding on the drawers. The oak is Ikea flooring glued to the doors, but it is real oak veneer and not printed oak texture. The whole thing is an IKEA hack. I just noticed, I have not glued the kick panel in yet.

I changed the lighting a bit. I think it worked out for the better. There is still a way to go, but the major pieces are falling into place.
