Hello, I have simple curved object, then I grouped it up and made it convexhull. Readback geometry looks flawless.. I tried this whole process in both SP2 and SP3RC1.

When I import this model into different file, it behaves like box, despite in properties it shows convexhull. Also, if I change whole model default -> convexhull, it becomes static.

If you would like to try it by yourself, download model from here: http://jump.fm/REVNB and place it somewhere. (EDIT: Uploaded as attachment)

Do you have any idea, please?

P.S. I can't describe it accurately yet, but after some work with SP3, I become unable to use Reload model, because it always pops up at wrong place (like it moved axis cross into center of model, instead of expected corner.)

      Problematic object

This may not be the answer, but:
I was reading the how to stuff and it said if you have a model with any hollows, such as a bowl, you must make smaller portions of the model convex hulls so that the hulls more closely follow the contours of the bowl, otherwise the rim of the bowl will be treated as one large hull face, and nothing can be placed inside.
Did I miss your question? I do not have SP downloaded yet, just trying to help.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

Well... Yes, it's not really what I mean. Imagine banana shape. Convex object is banana with both tips connected by line so the result is sort of D-letter. That's okay for me, because it's not that large difference. However, in my case, whole banana works like a box, although if I open banana file, it displays properly D-shape.

You can upload the file here using the 'upload attachment' tab, next to the options tab, below the message pane.
