I just noticed this device, the Alereon NoWire Laptop to HDTV Extender http://www.wireless-usb.eu/wusb/?p=624. It could be useful to anyone wishing to make a presentation on a large TV! Don't know what the price is also I understand it only has drivers for Win currently
It might be worth keeping an eye out for it.
