Its been a long time since I last posted a work here.. here's an old work done in sketchup a year ago...
I'm not regular here but wanted to share this one....crits are welcome.. Thanks! -
thats way too cool!
if you need help to build it i'm busy that day -
Reminds me a bit of Renzo Piano's project in New Caledonia (see image).
Cool modeling!Xrok's comment just cracked me up.

Absolutely lovely stuff (as well as the image you posted, Chris).

Beautifull

wow... that is awesome
I especially like the shape of the base... it just seems to flow. -
Looks nice. It looks sort of like a basket weave.
I think there was a movie called Cocoon where old people turned young and were doing gymnastics. -
Very cool and interesting!
I think of alien civilizations.
And yes, I agree with kwistenbiebel, the background structure is very similar to the Centre Culturel Tjibaou.

thanks to all the comments.. The idea of this model came from soap skin and bubble plug in while practicing my modelling tech in sketchup..then ended the ground model like this..thats why the structure looks more of smooth shape because I wanted to experiment the plug in. The background idea was taken from a movie cocoon which looks like renzo piano design.

I have now you just mentioned it!
I can create the mesh, but when I press enter for it to create the bubbled surface, it disappears. -
exactly...i may email the author of the script cos I use it quite a lot. I'm sure it's only a small problem.
