After reading en working with all the tutorials i have found on the internet, here is my first house project.

The house is not a building that i have seen, but i created with my own mind. Please give me comments and critics because then i can learn.

Hi Henk, nice renders...the first image is maybe too dark for me. My eye is drawn to the mirror, but I cannot see the details there. The second image's textures look too flat, and the sidewalks tiling looks bad.

What render engine did you use? How did you light the interior?

The first one is renderd with an kt light with minimal reflection. But perhaps it is to dark. The second i agree you comment for the flat texture.

The render engine is KT and i make today a new one and also with a night render.

            Thanks for your comment

After a lot of testing, because i am een newbie, i have also a nightrender with a outside lamp.

And also there is a light in the kitchen (right hand side) and somebody is in the living room on the left hand side of the picture. Notice also the plant in the livingroom, who is reflacting in the window.

You are not alone in this journey - learning to render well is a difficult path. The guys on SCF are geniuses if you ask me - but they are the most helpful bunch of geniuses you could find anywhere. Keep asking questions, however dumb they sound to you because as I've been told very often, we all have to start somewhere and most of these guys have come through the pain we newbies are all going through.

From what I can see you need to ask questions about lighting your models and also applying materials and reflectivity. Keep trying new things and you will eventually discover the secrets of this dark magic!!!! Good Luck

When you burn your arse - you gotta sit on the blisters!!

Good start! Just keep practicing and don't stop! No one had very beautiful and realistic renders at the begining πŸ˜‰ My first render was terrible πŸ˜„
I don't knov if in KT is any bump mapping but if there is You should try that πŸ˜‰

Hey these are pretty swell for the first go around.
The first image needs more reflection, sit in your living room and just look at things, all the little things that reflect and are shiny, thats a good way to get into it. I would take the material off the door glass and get some sun streaming in there. Also, increase the pattern on the wall, or get rid of it, I dont think its helping the scene.

We all start somewhere, I started with a great render then after that it seemed to crash for a while, must have been beginners luck, but with a lot of reading through these forums and practice you'll get there. Good job man!
