Cutout 2D Face-me's with transparent png's count?

Gaieus, make it 2,5D ! like trees...
I think in that manner it will count
-
You can add that .5th dimension to it if you wish.

The 2D Face.me component is inside this file - drag and drop it into your favourite Component folder inside the SU window or Right click > Save as... and navigate to your Component folder. (The file size is quite big but I didn't want to resample the image. If you think, you can do it)Cornflower_33_wrapper.skp
And forgive me, Remus, for not taking your initiative seriously. It is indeed a good challenge and I think I will rather post these comps in the CMS forum (or the WH once they fix the "upload component" bug with face-me components) -
nice challenge
my attempt at a simple daffodil.
497 edges oooooooooh (bezier curves quite high poly)
cant be arsed rendering sorry

-
How can I count edges? SU says 500 but when I double click on it (having checked 'show hidden geo...') info says 1000.
-
Ok so maybe I can be arsed rendering it. Twilight is like render crack. Glass flower.
Michalis I do not understand all the SU hidden lines/geometry etc but I'm assuming softened geometry doesnt count in this challenge (as "follow me" operations cause automatic softening etc.) When I click "show hidden geometry" it doesn't affect the amount of edges.

-
not had a chance to render yet.
496 in total, bit mechanical looking but what the hell.
