Green Kitchen...
-
hi all,
Here is a new work.... The cabinets are from the Web (3ds), but when I imported them into SU, it was a real mess, and I worked 2 hours to restore order ... After this work I can say that they are my models...
medium + rendering : 6 hours.
-
good start... definitely a little 'dull' though..i know its a night scene, but it needs to be a bit brighter...
-
Although I don't like the green color, the render itself is really good and convincing...
-
I agree with marked001. While it is very convincing, it needs more 'punch', tweak the levels and curves maybe.
nice work

Fred, you still have v-ray, right? Why don't you try to render this one with it, because,6 hours it's just too much.
I bet you can do better materials too. -
Yes you all right, I will try to make it better, and just a quick try with Vray to see...
-
Here is a quick setup (15 minutes for light and materials) to render and try this kitchen with Vray first version.
Ok , it is more realistic and less noisy on this image, and really quicker =render time (less than 12 minutes), but I have to say that the IES effects are faked and difficult to setup, and to put a Background it is not easy as Twilight interface.
So Is there some big change between the first Vray version and the last one ? IES light effects ? easy background ?
I wait your comments...
Cheers Fred.

The VfSU render sure is nice, but since the lightning and scene setup is far from identical, you can't compare it directly...
The lightning in the scene rendered with TWR is a night shot and the VfSU is a daylight scene...
I'm quite certain that I can render the daylight scene with TWR in less than 20 minutes...
(Please note that I'm not saying TWR is faster than VfSU...) -
Hi Frederik,
It's true, it is not the same scene so I can't compare them.
Can I send you the scene in private, and if you have time to render a day-scene ?Twilight is a good software, and of course I need more experience...
Fred.

Of course you can...
I will send a PM with my e-mail address... -
Here is another render with TL, DOF is so easy to setup in TL, two click on the mouse and it's done....
I used preset 10 for 7 hours and 165 passes.Cheers Fred.
