Since, google destroyed the original forum, I lost the track of what is going on. Now I see amazing things here. So I'm back and will be posting.

this is a photo I got from google earth the burned building next to CCTV. I thought it would be an interesting test to recreate it. I was a bit disappointed on how quick it all happened. Couple hours and all is done. I had to step on my architect's throat to do this model in photomatch - nothing lines up no 90 degree angles. But guess what - for a recreation it all doesn't matter - just make a picture.

            Welcome to SCF Dennis.

Just to clarify, are you the Dennis from the infamous 'Dennis technique'?

                          thank you,

that was not meant to be an exact copy, neither I did it for fun. I wanted to capture the magic of the original photo with a hope that I do it again on another building.

here is some other work I did here in Beijing. The party secretary wanted something very youthful but still authoritative. very open and transparent to the public, but it had to be warm and welcoming, and very strict. And of course like everywhere in China - every one wants to look green (because the party said so). So here is what came our of it.

Just like before - I don't get to have too much fun with the images. These days I'm a design director/ senior architect in a mid size architectural company, so I get to render either when it is really slow or on my own time.
