WIP for star trek original series
-
As nomer says Rob D, blender > zbrush > blender > SU > podium render
-
In this work flow now comes SU. Bridge (TOS) from 3dW, rendered in podium, some PP in Gimp.

-
Why (when you're clearly very proficient with blender) would you bother rendering with podium? Podium is pretty crappy.
-
Thanks for reply Macker, lot of people asked me the same.
- I have some good friends in podium forum.
- I've posted some work, rendered in blender, in blender forum.
- I've also posted in zbrush forum.
- Less is more, it is also a challenge.
-
LMFAO.
Podium is as crappy as the person using it.

lol is it? If you have a crap model then your render will be crap.
You can make podium photo real. Don't mistake simplicity for crap haha
Im working on a bridge at the moment michalis

Please don't misunderstand me. I can understand Macker's point here. All these are for fun anyway...
-
LOL
Sketchup is practically the door to Podium!
and, wow! - there's no scent of Poser or Daz Studio here.Great work!

-
Here is the update for the "bridge" ive been making to accompany Michalis' figure.
Only 10% finished but it's getting there. It's supposed to be an update to an old classic.
We are just doing this for a bit of fun, why not.
Sketchup Lines:
Podium Render + Photoshop

Podium Render + Photoshop(galaxy overlay for fun)

The sketchup view of the model set within the "star globe"

Looking great guys, so are y'all gonna make a combined scene once done?
-
yeah that's the plan, a big old mash up. feel free to contribute!
-
Here's an asteroid, quick modeling in zbrush> blender (baked displacement and normal in UV map) > SU > podium.
(Feel free to use asteroid.skp.)

-
Come on pete. Do your magic here. Just for fun. An alien figure is coming soon.
-
