Hello everyone. Some of you might know me for my models on the warehouse, but I'm new here on this forum (excluding the time lurking around in people's threads). I've always worked on cars - tweaking them - but I've been playing around with SP ever since the first release. I happen to have quite a few SP models, but I really felt the need to share this one.

I think the best way to learn to play with this game/animation would be to understand how it works, so I'd suggest you read the next part carefully.

      • There are two thrusters on the front of the buggy.
      • One points upwards (grip) and the other frontwards (force).
      • There are two thrusters on the back of the buggy.
      • The one on the top counter-steers, imitating Four-Wheel-Steering. It is controlled by the arrow keys, steering simultaneously with the front wheels.
      • The one on the bottom moves up and down. It is controlled by the keys W and S. This is to control the car's grip.
      • At normal mode, the vehicle understeers and at times, oversteers...
      • When you press W, the thruster points upwards, giving more grip to the rear wheels.
      • If you press S, the thruster points downwards, giving less grip to the rear wheels and initiates oversteer.

Oh and that gun? You press space for that.

NOTE: The grip function doesn't work if you don't press "UP". The thruster is activated only when "UP" is pressed.

NOTE: If the vehicle isn't settling down on the ground, or say, unstable, press "UP" and W or just press "DOWN". The thrusters pointing upwards will settle the vehicle down.

Track + bonus included. Credit to november92 (3D Warehouse) for the buggy. I couldn't resist, so I ended up "tweaking" the model a bit... πŸ˜„

          Good πŸ‘

My only critiscism is the high center of gravity; it's too easy to flip over.

            Thanks David.
@Wacov: Thanks for that harsh critism... πŸ˜„. There are a few things I'd have to sacrifice over C.O.G., one is the level of difficulty in drifting and the other is the stoppie. Yes, stoppie. Just speed up, press "UP", "DOWN" and S simultaneously. You can lift the rear at any time, but looks real... sort of. I've taken notice of your concern and will be tweaking the model - as always. πŸ˜„

It's great, I love it. I also agree with Wacov, the COG is wrong, the car is easy to flip. πŸ˜‰

This is great; the driving sim is really nice and crisp! I only wish it had a really nice driver’s view or a proper follow view. Nice work!

Actually, I've been working on the driver's and the gun's POV, but didn't work as intended. I think I saw a code for what you mentioned, something like "look at example_box_1" rather than the traditional "camera follow box. camera track box" one. I think I'll try to contact CPhillips about this sometime soon. But until then, I'll just look around for that...
