Recent Work and the Dreaded Night Shot :::
-
nice! highlights on the car are awesome... as is the water spilling over in the fountain.
-
The more I look at it the better it looks, you have raised the bar again!!
I normally do not like figure entourage but you night scene justifies it by the way you implemented them, they add to the scene in a powerful way.
-
Beautiful work. Interestingly you have everybody walking away from the camera, and it works, draws you in.
Great stuff. -
Maybe the stairs on the left side of the day light image is a little more too blue?
PS What is this little insect moving on my screen?
-
Hi FreeAgent,
Another gem.
What is more, the gem of all gems I'd say.Keep it up, man, you're producing high quality!
-
Mate both shots look amazing!
Few comments for your first night shot (well done by the way);
- The foreground for me looks a little low on lighting,
- Some stair side lighting looks appropriate,
- The cobbles in the night shot for some reason looks way over bumped / displaced,
- The interior lighting just seems a bit (and just a bit) to white or it could be just a tad too intense!
Amazing stuff mate!
-
+1 on the entire render and especially the fountain.
-
Holy sheet man! Floored again. Dreaded night shoot my arse.....you owned that night shot man! The cobblestone in the street is killer. I had to call my wife in from the other room just to look at it. (She slapped me and told me to take my butt to bed) LOL Dare I say......raws?

Simply stunning!
Your work gets better and better. What a pleasure! -
thanx everyone for the kind words, im pleased with the way this came out.
holmes1977: i hope to be doing the animation, but i might be too busy

it makes me angry how well those guys set their people ... one day, one daythanx again all, Earth mover heres your raw shot i think posting the raw is always more informative as to how much work went into the job.

Fantastic night image... Could you please explain your lighting set up. Does it differ much from Vray for SU?
-
not at all, save the car and animation, i think this could have easily been achieved in SUvray, all i used was different colour rectangle lights and HDRI.
-
If I understand Vray correctly HDRI can be used for lighting or just as a background. I presume you used it as lighting?
-
both, yup
-
that night shot is one of the nicest images ive ever seen. beautiful work, hats off!
-
So Sean, you just used Vray rectangle lights in Max? Did you use any Vray Sun, or just HDRI? Did you have to lower your shutter speed on the Vray camera at all? Just curious as I have a night lighting render to do soon and I'll be using Vray for Max and your settings look perfect.
-
another stunning group of images free. The models and renderings are impressive in their own right, but what you do with your images in post production is stunning. Keep up the great work.
-
for the night shot i used a hdri made from a sky map from cgtextures (for GI and Background), and used rectangle lights in the shops, for the day shot i used vray sun and sky only, no physical camera (dont really see the point)for either image, and using LWF (gamma 2.2)

I presume you are new to Max( might be wrong ). How do you find Max on scale 1-10 if you are new to it and especially Vray fot Max. Do you find it works same or ?
-
WOW... speachless yet again!
