      Hy there one and all
I've been working on a project here at work....all the images i have done were photoreal renders, but the client asked if I could do some type of non-photoreal artist impresion for him, so i've been doodling around with some pre-renderd images in Photoshop and came up with these....some input and c&C would be verry welcomed.

I like these. The grass and sky are very pleasing. The one thing that jumps out at me however is that all the trees are the same. Mix those up and I think you have something worth presenting. Good luck.

Really nice effect! The ground in the last image looks a bit plain, maybe you could liven it up a bit?

Thanx for the kind words mate, i will see what i can find so i can mix the trees up a bit,
i did have the presentation today with the client, and he was very happy with the results....but for my own portfolio, i'll be updating the project with your suggestion.

            thnx you to mate,
i'll see what i can do about the grass in the last image....i tried to not have the same workflow in PS on the images so they do not come out looking exactly the same, but i quess somethings can't be avoided or mixed up 😄

            thnax again for your advice

I especially like the second one. I think it's the postprocessed lighting effect you've got going on. If you've already put the effort into photorealistic though I wouldn't be so quick to go back to SU for non-photorealism. Why not just take your PR renders and turn them into NPR via Photoshop? I've had pretty good luck with that approach on occasion.

If you want to stick w/ SU, I recall Richard having developed a really great process that came across a bit like a cardboard model. Looked very sexy, not much in the way of color though so I guess it depends on your needs.

well i didn't go back to SU for the NPR...not completly anyways...I used Thom's vray tools to get the exact camara angels used for the PR renders, to get the line works in SU and using the existing PR renders i already had...went into PhotoShop and created the NPR images.

I'll upload the line work and PR images so you can have a look at what i had to work with.

                PR image

                Line work from SU

                and the final result
