Universal Camera

Is there a ruby out there that creates a camera / Target that can be placed in a model and used in multiple models? Something similar to PagesExIm.rb that allows scenes to be imported but I am talking about a physical camera object? Does such a beast exist?

Yup, that is the film and stage plugin.
Down about 1/2 the page under "Functionality Enhancement"
Once you install it, look for it under "Camera" and choose "Add Camera" or one of the other options,
