The Lights are bluish mesh lights.

Yes, I know how you set the mesh to emit light. however you can turn off emitting light (which would bounce from elsewhere) and still look like it really emits light (i.e. glowing).
That way you can speed up rendering time and since I can't really see to much bounced light, I thought you applied this. Or if not, you could since there's not much reflected light anyway.
I'm not sure however how it would exactly influence rendering in your particular scene. See attached screenshot.
All in all, I like it a lot.
