      Dear Woodworkesr,

Has anyone used linseed oil based paints on weather-exposed wood?

It seems to be a better, and longer lasting option than solvent based paints.

I ask because I'm thinking of stripping off the existing paint on my window frames and re-painting using a linseed oil based paint.

Interestingly, traditional paints are sold in RAL colours
