Here are a couple screencaps of a house framing study I did.
The frame is complex because of how the roof bears on the mainfloor walls, and how a system of beams and posts creates a rectilinear bearing arrangement so the second half-story with its roof, sits nicely atop the angular wall scheme of the first story.

Gene, this is really interesting! We don't often get to see the inside of the walls, heck many times the walls in my models don't even have any thickness! Do you plan to frame the whole structure?

Gene, great model and great illustratative study. This is what Sketchup excels at, and this is exactly the type of usage I initially envisioned using Sketchup for (not so much with framing but more for tricky details in the millwork and cabinetmaking trade).
