[attachment=0:27zvlinl]<!-- ia0 -->bend.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:27zvlinl]WHat the crap is this ??? I'm not sure that I fully understand this discussion. Is there available something for sketchup which does things like that??

Of course yes! But in just few days, it will be the new Fredo6's plug!
You don't seen his video teaser? (previous page) -

You don't seen his video teaser? (previous page)Well, it was just too incredible... i wanted to know for sure. You guys are amazing! How you have brains to do such things and I'm crawling to understand how to use correctly inferencing in a script... Now I feel really dumb

Would this be a first step to Jeff's request?

Ok, can we start a official Fredo fan club?
-
I bagsy being his No.1 fan
-
This looks very nice
Would be a fantastic addition to SU -
Fredo, you're a genius. If there is someone that should be working for Google as an important part of the SketchUp development team, it is you.
If this one is going to be free, as the other ones have, at least you should consider setting up a blog and a Paypal donation button in it.

I appreciate your warm welcome to my make-up of Bonzai
The reason I asked is that, although Bending is definitely not part of the native Sketchup transformation and can give interesting results, I am curious to know if it could be useful in a 'practical' 3D design life.
I leave this for thoughts, until I find some time to produce the full bending script based on curving a model along a given curve (the original Jeff's request).
The present script, implementing radial bending should be released in a matter of working days (which are very often different from elapsed days unfortunately).
Fredo
PS: Attached is another one, based on a Google component

One of my prayers have been answered.
Thank you very much.

If this can comfort you, I am still far away to master inferencing in scripts!!

I am Bender. Insert Girder.
Yes oh yes. Bending is a very useful modelling tool in 'practical' 3D design.

trust me Fredo - this script will see 'real world' use!
-
Yeah, this looks awesome Fredo. I'm also excited!

Jeff,
That's my point. I don't think Bend will make it.
Fredo
-
Wow! I want this.
As a side note I think the Google SU Team should be ashamed of them selves when you look at what the community has developed in the last year compared to what they have done.
-
I suddenly guess I miss this thread for a while....
Amazing, Fredo you are entering the Ruby's Master Pantheon!@Jeff, what kind of work it is ? Hull making ?

@ Malaise: There were many great photos of skate constructions like this above here but seems disapears
Jeff where are they? -
Thanks Pilou for theses links, I didn't know that !
@ Fred, what will be the max angle for bending ( ~ 180°) ?
