I was working on a file, messing around with levitation with the magnets. It works. But I had to leave my house real quick, so i hit save and closed. Well, it was actually while the physics simulation was playing. When i came back and opened sketchup and opened the file. The position of the disk had fallen after this levitation test. so when i saved it last it was all messed up in a weird position and play was still stuck on. but the shapes saved were permanently askew.

So when you save while simulated, it will save in whatever position the elements were in last, and not reset.

This is on Mac OS X 10.5.6

It works the same way on Mac. Its sort of a "feature". It allows you to save an inprocess simulation. But you have to remember to push reset after or you will lose the original model. At this point I think if I fixed the bug people would complain about the missing feature.

yeh it's actually quite usefull as a feature, because it lets you use sketchyphysics for modeling, like making roof tiles fall into place, or pavements or that kind of thing
