Hmmm, im not good in textures, but its not soo bad!
This is a old Steam ship i made for fun, on this one i have used Sketchup 7 & Kenkythea Render...

It's really nice.And only thing i can say is shadow problem.

I would use a bigger (more x more) texture and expand it more, so you have no more cuts in your water surface.
And I would use a single Background area. The edge doesnt look realistic.
The boat itself is nice.
