View only stuff in front of section plane...

...is there such a plugin to allow viewing only what is in front of a section plane, thus having everything beyond show as background color?

Could it be as simple as applying the section from the opposite direction (or rotating the section 180) to achieve the effect?

Or right click on a section plane and choose "Reverse" from the context menu?
