Hypershot Trial
-
I thought that I would have a try with rendering using Hypershot. This is a render of a castle that I did in an entry into the 3D Cahllenge on the 3D Warehouse. I came second.
-
Wow, very cool. I'd like to see first place too, if that's second! The rendering looks like a table top model, but quite realistic except for the surroundings.
-
Thanks pbacot.
I have just rendered my Pod racer.
How do you do emissive textures? I want my electricity to buzz!
-
Hy Lyall, nice render...found how you make emissive materials in hypershot.

Also added the psp files you need that are shown in the video.
Cheers.

Love the castle. I've seen (and deleted) two instances of it in the "Orphaned attachments" section in the Admin panel already (you may have problems with attaching or tried several posts?) but I haven't been able to visit the Gallery ever since - thoguh have been preparing to se who poste it - now I finally "got you"
Unfortunately (AFAIK) Hypershot doesn't do bumps which would be nice here (both on the walls and some on the watr surface as well).

In this tutoral it explains that hypershot can use normal maps for a 3d look on textures.
http://www.bunkspeed.com/hypershot/tutorials/TexturedMaterials/
and also mentions of a psp plugin for creating normal maps which is here:
