Street Restoration Study
-
As the name says, a restoration study for a block of buildings, illustrating both restored and existing. I thought it would look better (artistically) to model the existing conditions rather than use photographs - in the final print, the two are aligned top and bottom. The one aspect I didn't convey on the existing is the grime on the buildings. The final images were printed at 1/9" scale and are 48" long, much too large for here so I had to chop it up into smaller images.

Very nice Daniel. Nice and clean.
Is that in South Carolina? -
Great work Daniel. I think adding a background image (sky) would really help these images pop. Extremely clean modeling and images.

Awesome stuff Daniel!

Thanks, Guys. I've admired your work, so your praise means a lot to me.
Eric: No, that is Greeneville, Tennessee.
Scott: I considered that, but due to time I kept with the plain pale blue. At the risk of sounding conceited (which I probably am anyway), in the final print the buildings do "pop", one doesn't even notice the sky, probably due to the brick textures and detailing.

Well done sir! I love the signature on the side of the box truck. Nice touch.
